Rob Fitzgerald, Zak Stein, and I have performed together sporadically since high school. This set of improvisations on guitar, bass and drums happened after a several year gap.

A Great Man Has Gone Out
A Great Man Has Gone Out
The Funeral of Ghanaian Xylophonist Kakraba Lobi
A film by Brian Hogan
Swizterland 2008
Switzerland is one of my favorite places in the world on account of the sheer size and scale of it’s mountainous terrain. In the summer of 2008, after completing my second Bulgarian tour with Orchestar Balkan, I spent a week in Zermatt hiking and downhill mountain biking on the new trails developed by Kona. These are the photos.
snowboarding
Snowboarding is like eating ice cream all day long and never getting full or getting a brain freeze. In other words, it is a perfect world, if even only for a day. What else more need I say?
ZB
Zak Stein and Brian Hogan’s ongoing series of improvisations, fretless electric bass and drumset.

Couldfall | atop the Schwarzhorn, Switzerland
This video from the summer of 2005 was taken from atop the Schwarzhorn in Switzerland. The 10 minute video is compressed to a 30 second clip, which is looped half way through. I got the idea from Werner Herzog, who talks about the hypnotic effects of staring at the falling water of a waterfall. This video highlights the contrast between immovable rock and flowing cloud.
